Sept. 22, 2011: Former President Bill Clinton talks with Joe and Mika during the Clinton Global Initiative in midtown Manhattan.
I started working for the show at the beginning of 2011, and within roughly the first week or two of my arrival, I hastily put together a Flickr page to document all of the exciting stuff happening behind the scenes and in between segments. I'd incorporated my photography into previous jobs I'd held, but never before had I been granted such mind-blowing access to a broad swath of virtually every well-known person on the planet, from former President Bill Clinton and Dick Cheney to Bradley Cooper and Tim Tebow.
To the show's credit, they let me roam the 30 Rock hallway and our studios freely (along with producer Louis Burgdorf and most recently Clayton Collins) to photograph the guests as they prepared for their interviews, decompressed, interacted with other guests, and joined the set. All, of course, with that guest's permission.
Looking back, it still amazes me the individuals I've had the chance to meet, and I look forward to those who will join us in the future.
Here are some of the images I've taken since my arrival in early 2011, all of which are my favorites for one reason or another.

I wake up and turn on Morning Joe; been doing that for five years now. It is the only place where the current creatives meet to converse and I listen to their insights. Healthy media breakfast.
I love Morning Joe - find the core team, when they are on their game, are simply the BEST in the business! But Joe, you gotta get a grip - there is NO WAY Romney will be elected President - he doesnt deserve it, and the country wont stand for it. Stop cheapening YOUR brand of brilliant insight by exhorting Mr Romneys non-existant chances. He is toast - you know it, we know it.....HE knows it! Move on -
Joe I watch you every day and some days I get angry with you because I dont like how you treat Mika...but I do respect you and your politics...I disagree with you most of the times but I respect you and the show, as I believe you do try to have a fair and balanced show unlike Fox who the lemmings repeat the script they are given daily to say over and over. You have many interesting guests and I particularly like Mika's father. I kind of feel for you over Romney... especially funny was your statement that you wanted to put a bag over your head. I was worried when Romney was first picked and while I feel anything can happen and there is time...I feel better every day thanks to Romney. Your campaign was dull and not invogorating as the dems were but it was about time they came out and made some noise. They have not gotten behind this president enough in my estimation especially as to the health care reform. I do not believe Ryan's plan for vouchers will work as I watched my daughter fight cancer and her insurance company and feel I never want anyone to go through what she did and Pres. Obama's h.c. plan will take care of this, I am positive. I will continue to watch and argue daily but I will watch..
I don't know what world Republicans live in, but they can't seem to call anything for what it is. They have become a party that for what ever reason, they will take the opposite position just for pure spite. I think Mitt Romney had it right at that fund raising party in May; we will simply keep kicking the can down the street if there are hard decisions to make, particularly if it involves our milatary, especially if there is anyway a decision by us will provide any credit to the other party. Case in point, the republicans decision to kill a bill in congress today that would help veterans returning from war.
By the way I can't say enough as to my anger over this. But I can vote for Barrack Obama for President and after this Election resign my 32 year membership in the Republican Party. By the way Joe I listen to your show and feel there are times you can't see the forest through the tree's. You need to take a hard look into yourself and examine truly what our past in this country represents, and its not what these crazy people in the tea party is doing. Until we get some un-bias and level headed people back in the Republican Party that call things what they are, I am done with the Republican Party.
Yea remember all Conservative wackos on your show forgot about the terrible results of their poor voting choices. I would write emails or comment board posts telling the nutcases what I really thought about them... and then Joe would mention something about Liberals eating Cheetos in the basement.
Ahh the memories:
From 8-14-12
"Americans are stupid if they listen to this whiny Conservative:
Morning Joe Scarborough is out-of-control and suffering from the same severe superiority complexes, odd paranoia and religious delusions as the dwindling number of hardcore Conservative wackos. Joe wishes for the time (1994) when there was enough insane voters who believed the Republican Corporate Ho Party BS.
From 1994-2006 while Republican controlled Congress and then the 8 year Bush/Cheney disaster government spending and growth went to historically high extremes. As far as I'm concerned, after the Bush/Cheney disaster, the Republican Party is dead to me.
The results of Bush/Cheney and the Republican controlled Congress (1994-2006) speak for themselves. Waste, fraud, abuse of power, scandal, privatization, corruption, media consolidation, sexual deviancy, welfare for the rich, soldiers getting electrocuted in showers due to shoddy contractors, arms dealing, environmental deregulation, war profiteering, Constitutional violations and a corporate crime wave of epic proportions. The greatest looting of a nation's wealth & resources in the history of mankind… Yet these shameless hypocrites have the audacity to act they're the responsible adults at the table, BULLS***!"
