Several months ago during Republican Primary I watched Joe Scarborough talk about how Mitt Romney is 'not the man' to run for President; he bashed Romney good back then. And I said to a friend that they should just keep watching Morning Joe and when it is Romney as the candidate against the President, he will be going on and on trying to convince people that Mitt Romney is great and the 'best person' in the world to be President. People look at that crap and remember. Don't these people have any morals when it comes to honesty. Such hypocrasy and cynicism that you just have to shake your head with disgust!!! Just as bad as Romney and the GOP accusing the President of divisive acts while they keep showing this in their acts and words. Mr. Romney and ...JOEY Scarborough....Americans are not blind, and we have a good memory....stop the lies.

Romney said that his campaign would not be constrained by fact checking ( the truth). I am glad that he is NOT a teacher, a scientist, an airplane pilot, a teacher, a teacher, a minister, a banker, a friend, a nurse, a doctor, a teacher or a president.

CHRISTIAN VALUES PLATFORM???

As a "SOCIAL ISSUES" Catholic, I saw NOTHING last night that remotely resembled "Christian Values". Abortion and Homosexuality are debatable subjects, since neither the words Homosexual or the word ABORTION ever appears in the Bible. But the following verses from the Bible are unquestionable and pretty clear. I don't know what has happened to the Republican Party, but it is now pretty ugly. Joe and I are the same age and I was once a Republican, but I am a true believer, Church going Catholic and sorry folks what I heard last night is not what God asks of us.....the entire Convention was based on lies and not valid ideas...we are asked to be Christ like, Christ does not lie or tell the poor and the sick you are on your own...sadly I am no longer a Republican or Democrat. I am an Independent now, I will be voting for President Obama, he may not be perfect no one is, but he truly comes closest to "Christian Values":

Psalms. 140:12. I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the poor. (The Social Safety Net, Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Tricare and Medicaid and Food Stamps)

Romney looks uncomfortable because he knows so much of what is being said and what is being portrayed is colossal misrepresentation of the truth. The man apparently has a conscience. Romney appears to have little respect for those powerful people handling him and he is uncertain how all this will turn out. He really doesn't know if he wants to be president and worries about how all this will turn out. Will he be led into becoming another, or worse, George Bush. Is Romney perhaps living out his father's dream and not his own?

Does America aspire for more and more war as the convention clearly indicated?

The biblical proportions of the hoarding of Romny's church's and his own wealth is in total contrast to the message the convention meant to send. The love of personal wealth and international power seems to be the Republican definition of what it means to be "American", "USA" or "Christian."

As for the examples of Romney's kindnesses etc. - there are an abundance of people in the US who work tirelessly for the poor and the disadvantaged, some for a time, as Romney has, and some for their entire lives.

Is the reason Romeny doesn't want to divulge his taxes, that his wealth is somehow intertwined with the Church? Seems to be a lot of mixing of church and state in the Republican party. Both have power and wealth. Power and personal wealth seem to be the only goals, the end all, of the Tea Party.

You know I flipped over to the coverage of MSNBC on the Republican Convention. IT was blatantly Disgusting. No Effort at a fair shot for anyone at that convention. Why dont you allow a fair fight for once. Why don't you let the president and his gang stand or fall on their own merits. Mr. Thom. Bless your Heart. You have no idea what those verses mean or how they apply to the human heart. God cares about the individual heart, not "collective" redemption. That is what doesn't exist. No scripture does not specifically mention homosexuality in that context. But it does explicitly mention unmarried sexual relations and sexual relations between people of the same gender. No it does not mention "abortion" but from the first tablet the Mention of Killing is explicit. If you accept that an unborn child has the breath of God given life, then you accept that an abortion is a Killing. Nothing less. Bless your heart though these issues are not even close to your spiritual disconnect with the God that I know. Finally a thought. Consider this. During the life of Our Lord on this planet there were two emperors. Tiberius and Caligula. after Caligula was Claudius and Nero. Tiberius and Caligula along with Mark Antony and Cleopatra's choice to lead Palestine Herod were disgusting people by any measure. Our Lord gave them even passing reference but ONCE. Give unto Caesar what is Caesars. Our God is not about "collective" redemption. Our God is about the individual Heart and how we surrender that heart to Him. President Obama as badly spiritually served by Reverand Wright and that hole social Spiritual message they sold him on. Now he is lost in these woods and rather than come to a true spiritual Inventory based on scripture, he is lost in misplaced Dogma. AS FOR YOU MSNBC. I have a far more cynical view. I cant believe the difference between the coverage of the two Parties , It is totally apparent that you are not a news network, but a network that covers President Obama's news.
