It's disappointing to me that Joe isn't going to Florida on vacation and just leaving the show in the capable hands of Mika.

Why are we surprised that substantive dicussion is not involved in this election when the republicanPARTY allowed and encouraged every base, foul and ignorant opinion to be levied against the man and the office of this great nation. And, even good shows like yours allowed Pat Buchannon to praise Sarah Palin and others who would have been dismissed by the Dan Rahters of the journalistic world. When the President talked about saving the financial future of the country by passing the Affordable Health Care Act, not "Obama Care", the conversation in the media was about the "death panels" conspirarisits. When he tried to discuss the tenants of the two wars, all we heard were allegations that he would "cut and run". When he talked about race, we heard about Rev Wright, who by the way sounds like a breath of fresh air compared to some of these professing "conservative preachers" today. Every American knows we need infracture reform NOW, but all we hear is "sprend thrift liberal. AND NOW WE ARE SURPRISED ABOUT WHERE THE CONVERSATION HAS LANDED?
The reason our current election lacks substantive debate is that when faced with any decision, our elected officials from both parties ask two questions: 1) How will this affect my ability to raise money? 2) How will this play on TV? Nothing of substance will ever make it through these filters.
The truth is one party, (The Republicans) are completely dishonest in all of their claims constantly because they have a whole network and hundreds of right wing talkers and dozens of right wing periodicals that back their prevarications. They refuse to admit it is they who have not voted for any jobs bills or they who refused to pass a clean debt ceiling bill resulting in a down grade of our credit. Many know it was they who decided to shut down the government in an effort to discredit this President while dooming many citizens to joblessness and keeping the economy from a full recovery. The right wing media has simply refused to report the truth and continues to blame the President when it is clearly the fault of the Republicans in Congress.
It is funny when Republicans are puzzled as to why Obama maintains a lead in the polls when so many think the country is headed in the wrong direction. Look at the approval rating of the Congress. People realize that the Republicans have failed to do their jobs and have been doing everything in their power to sabotage the recovery.
The Democrats at least discuss the issues and tell the public the truth about what is happening in Washington. Both parties may blame each other but only one party is trying to solve the problems this nation has. Additionally only the Dems have actually balanced the budget and obtained a surplus via the Clinton tax policy something the Republicans blew and absolutely refuse to go back to.
Refusing to go back to the only successful policy in the past 30 years and insisting on return to the extreme failed policies that ruined our economy does not go unnoticed by our citizens despite what the media thinks and fails to relate to the people.
65 years x's 365 days x's 15.99 to 24.99 is over 500,000 dollars!!! In roses? And delivered to another room, because his Mom had to get up and go look for him?

This is so sad, but so true. However, the media aren't helping when they let them get away with those responses rather than pushing for substance. I watch Morning Joe because Joe, Mika, Mike, Willie, and many of their guests sometimes force officials to talk about substance. Most of the rest of the day is spent rehashing Morning Joe.

Here is your answer to the United States WARS. I saw your passion this morning, here is what you need to do. Get a list of the top 100 weapons manufactures in the free world. Connect those names to the lobbyist in Washington DC and their contributions to those lobbyist and the contributions those lobbyist and the manufactures make to our U.S. Congressmen. Our children are being maimed and killed for these bastards to make a corporate profit and those congressmen who are on the manufactures payroll have blood on their hands.

It was such a joy to watch the show Wednesday without Joe's enourmous ego and mouth. I very much agree with Siidewinmars. Joe actually yelled at Mika on Tuesday for demonstrating the link between Ryan and Adkins on policy. He is incapable of keeping his mouth shut. Consequently, the show ends up revolving around Joe's emotions and those are not very interesting. The show woud be much better if Joe was not there. At the very least, there needs to be a Mika mike that enables Mika to turn down Joe's volume. Even when I agree with Joe, I still feel he is obnoxious to others on the set and he needs to shut his mouth. Think about the image you are putting out to others: do you really want your whole show to be based on a guy who appears incapable of allowing his female partner to finish a sentence. It is more than just bad T. V.
Oh, how I agree with Timothy! Joe is so loud and obnoxious and I'm so tired of hearing about his father being umemployed . Also how Joe would handle and deal with things, we are well aware that you were once in congress, we usually hear about it several times during every program. It is just wonderful when you're not there. It's a good thing that I'll never have to be your guest, I'd have walked out on your ignorance long ago. I really don't know why your guests don't just walk out.

Joe is of the honest opinion that if he over-talks loud and long enough, everyone will take his opinions as fact. Many times he disappoints me because Mika makes a great point and he will simply dismiss her because she is a "democrat" and does not know what she is talking about. How insulting on every front there is!
I love your show so much that I record it just in case I can't watch one day. I agree with Joe more often than Mika, but I want my granddaughters to have her courage. I have one question: Why isn't anyone talking about replacing Medicaid with the Affordable Care Act? Medicaid is taking the economy to the brink because it's the fallback for Medicare (when nursing home benefits are exhausted) and for hospital emergency rooms. We pay taxes on SS Income and annual deductibles, 20% co-pays and monthly premiums (deducted automatically from SS). Why are these 2 PAID programs considered entitlements?
The sad thing is that Medicare could be fixed with one simple bill - simply raise the cap.
Right now, the cap is set at $109,000 of income. This means that anyone making $109,000 or less pays the full percentage rate for Medicare. If you make $200,000 you only pay Medicare on the first $109,000. This means that last year, both Mitt Romney AND President Obam, both of whom made a lot of money last year, only paid Medicare costs on the first $109,000 they made.
When was the last time the cap was raised? Now that we have billionaires and not just millionaires, do you think maybe it is time to raise the cap?
Joe needs to replace his reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance each and every morning with the quote from Greenspan's testimony to Congress that he finally admitted that free market capitalism is fatally flawed. Come on, get a grip, stop ignoring the facts, and speak to truth. Your GOP conservatism is evil, hurts Americans. Play Ryan's plea for spending to save America in 2002. WAKE UP!

When President Clinton was inaugerated, did the Republican caucus he served in hold a private meeting and decide that his caucus was NEVER going to cooperate with President Clinton.
Joe obviously does not know that the 2008 Republican caucus had just such a meeting.

Wow, it’s truly amazing sitting here with my first cup of coffee watching all the so-called journalists, news ancHOrs and $ punditry trying so hard to make the Republican Corporate Ho Party seem like rational, reasonable, fiscally responsible leaders.
News people are out-of-control and suffering from the same severe superiority complexes, odd paranoia and religious delusions as the dwindling number of hardcore Conservative wackos. Joe the newsman wishes for the time (1994) when there was enough insane voters who believed the Republican Corporate Ho Party BS.
From 1994-2006 while Republican controlled Congress and then the 8 year Bush/Cheney disaster government spending and growth went to historically high extremes. As far as I’m concerned, after the Bush/Cheney disaster, the Republican Party is dead to me. The results of Bush/Cheney and the Republican controlled Congress (1994-2006) speak for themselves. The reason I have liked Morning Joe is that you have thoughtful. though at times, intense discussions that have merit. This shoutfest by the man who felt goosebumps over Obama was just plain rude. And this thing of calling everything "playing the race card" is just playing the race card by Mathews. When are people gonna get it? I am turning you off!

What a hack job Chris Matthews is...he can have his opinion and when others have theirs, he rants and raves and talks over them. Mika and Joe are the moderators (allegedly) of the show and for them not to control anyone who monopolizes a conversation to the extent of yelling is bush-league. When Matthews responded to the coment of "garbage" made by Reibus (sp?) that he Reibus was garbage, that was possibly the most unprofessional act I've ever seen by a supposed newsman--actually Matthews is just a editorialist, no way he can be considered anything other than a third rate journalist with his actions today.

Given total freedom of choice, people do what they like doing. They do not do what they do not like doing. Therefore, for Jim Vandehei of Politico to say on "Morning Joe" that he does not think Romney and Obama like politics, is the dumbest remark I have ever heard from a journalist in my 70 years.
