I like Senator Coburn, but I believe he misspoke about the US Constitution Article 1 Section 8. This article section 8 allows the government to collect taxes, but Tea Party would not have any of that at all, totally opposite of what Senator Coburn said.
Senator Coburn "..."we don't have billion dollar airplanes..." HELLO, ANYONE HOME?
He should do his homework. Does $1.5 Billion sound familiar? B1 Bomber sound familiar?
re Syrian Support. Please, someone find the leaker of Secret information. How can support to Syrian rebels be Secret if we read it in the NY Times? This leak benefits no one except the Obama administration.
the Chick-fil-A controversy is the funniest story of the week. "Liberals" want to deny business permits to people whose religious and political views they disagree with? Chick-fil-A, which has no history of discrimination against gays in either hiring or serving practices, is unwelcome in Boston & Chicago, but Muslims, who think homosexuality deserves the death penalty, are welcome? the Mayor of Boston even engaged in some sort of sweetheart real estate deal to build a mosque so that the members would have a nice place to promote their death-to-gays agenda. How could anyone that dumb be elected to public office?
and wonder of wonders, women will no longer have to pay $4 a month to get their birth control pills when they go to Walmart. Wow. And if everybody has to have insurance, and all this gynecological stuff is "free," then why does the government have to keep funding Planned Parenthood? they aren't a charity, they make money just like every other medical clinic, by billing patients, insurance companies, and Medicaid. they don't need additional funding any more than any other business.
And now that the government is giving women more choices, let's revisit Obama's plan to deny women the right to get pacemakers when they need them. Is that a choice? Nope, you won't be able to get a pacemaker, you'll have to take a pain pill and die.
you are nuts
Anna Beal, You are nuts, Lord have mercy on your soul, any one can say how thay feel, but I don't have to spend my money at your store if I don't agree with you views, you must be a christ freak,
Using surrogates on the Syrian front for the War on Terrorism is on my mind. A War by proxy, that murders and slaughters another country's citizens for "Humanitarian Purposes" is still murder and slaughter.
Lets please get the story straight shall we? Google "chick fill a being sued in Georgia". A women is alleging that she was forced out of her job because management felt she should be a "stay at home mom." "According to the lawsuit, Honeycutt’s case was another incident in a pattern of discrimination against other female employees who were all replaced by men in Northern Georgia’s Chick-fil-A restaurants."
The question here is two fold. First, does a company have the right to use its employment authority to force individuals to conform their personal behaviors to the managements religious/political views via economic coercion. Second, assuming they do not, does a mayor or elected representative of a city have the authority to decide that a companies polices are likely to get that company repeatedly and vigorously sued, and insulate the tax payers and court systems from incurring the expense of hearing those suet's.
