just listened to david walker on morning joe. appears to me just more of the same. great talking points with no real substance; decrease spending, increase revenue, overhaul medicare/medicaid, more fiscal responsibility....blah blah blah
Just do it! Republicans just had to undo Clintons balanced budget by lowering taxes but PROMISED to let those tax cuts expire in 2010. So much for Republican promises! Just like the job creation they promised in 2010. So where are the jobs bills?
Seriously, do these guys work for us or just collect a pay check, free healthcare and a free pension? GET TO WORK! Listen to the majority of the citizens! That's how a democracy is supposed to work!
If we could reduce the cost of Medicare by 7% we could go a long way towards reducing the cost of healthcare in this country? Simple. Remove the ONE LINE phrase from the prescription drug legislation put into the Bush prescription drug plan that requires Medicare to pay FULL WHOLESALE PRICES for all prescription drugs. That is insane! It says it is illegal for Medicare the worlds largest healthcare insurance program to negotiate for discount prices for the HUGE volume of prescription drugs they buy. Who says the Republicans are superior businessmen that was probably the worse single piece of legislation ever written in not only the history of this country but in the history of business!
Allow Medicare to negotiate DISCOUNT PRICES FOR PRESCRIPTION DRUGS REPUBLICANS! Stop complaining about medicare problems and FIX THEM!
Donnie Duetsch calling America an "indulgent society" is pure fallacy. We have 23% of our children living in poverty (second to Romania), the income share of our bottom 20% (roughly 5%) of wage earners is about the same as Malawi (one of the 10 poorest nations), our income distribution favors the top 10% by 25% more than the average of about 220 countries. When it is pointed-out that there is indulgence at the top, the "pointers" are accused of class warfare, which is like being condemned for fighting when attacked.
Wow, good segments this am with Barnicle and the Deutsch in the Captain's chairs. The absence of the part time part timers, Scary Bro and bobblehead, :] , allowed for more reality based convo. Maybe the best convo's on MJ to date were witnessed with the segments featuring Dave Walker and Chuck GOP Todd. I like Donnie and think Joe is just an obnoxious bully with ..... obvious ..... self delusional tendencies. It sure looks like Joe and Mika are being phased out, and perhaps better discussion is being phased in. . Halperin has been reallllly coming on strong. Is that too may l's? Way to go. Gobama 2012!
Correction: Is that too many l's? ...not Is that too may l's.
The free market is by nature and by definition ... unreasonable. The modern free market is designed to grab every penny it can while the gettin' is good. The market is also truly predatorially inclined. The free market isn't a reasonable carnivore, it just feeds whenever it can and is insatiable and gluttinous by nature. The Insatiable Carnivore is feasting on Middle America. On the other hand, left handed President Obama is reasonable. This election features an aw shucks representative of insatiable carnivores in the red corner vs. the reasonable man in the blue trunks with the stars on the people's side. . .
