The president chose now to lead on immigration reform because the Republicans quashed the Dream Act. Other legislation the Republicans have recently blocked deal with Equal Pay for Women and the Viiolence against Women. Can he use an executive order to deal with these issues?
This is a duplication, Please use my 6:29 comment. Here in California, it is only 3 am. Yawn.
The reason the President chose now to act on immigration reform with an Executive Order is that the Republicans recently quashed the Dream Act. Other legislation that the Republicans have blocked deal with Equal Pay for Women and measures to stop Violence against Women. Can the President deal with these issues with more Executive Orders?
I love the show and like Joe but it is great to have Mika on the show without Joe. Finally I get to hear what she has to say and how she feels about the issues. When Joe is there, she does not get to finish a sentence. About a month ago Mika wanted to ask a 2-part question which she explicitly said upfront several times that it was a 2-part question. Unfortunately Joe took over the answer to the 1st question and she never got to ask her 2nd. Please Joe, let Mika talk. It is so rude for you to constantly interrupt her. And also throw away that terrible shirt with the white collar that looks so messy. The collar does not lay flat and looks awful. And Mika, please try to stop Joe from interrupting you so we can hear your view.
Actually, when Joe's there NOBODY gets to finish a sentence. He's nothing but a blow-hard.
Chuck Todd hilarious as usual! Trying to say that the U.S. (Obama) policy was great for our economy compared to Europe without coming right out and saying it in plain words in case it might appear as if the POTUS did a great job for our economy.
Good job Todd! Typical Republican! Keep trying to mislead the public as much as you can. That's your job as a journalist right? Republican first journalist second. That's the Republican motto in the media. Republican first American second. That's the motto in the Congress and in Wall Street.
I didn't know Chuck Todd was a 'righty'. If that's true, he just lost my attention.
Of course he is. The POTUS kills yet another #2 Al Qaeda leader, his jobs bill gets shot down by the Republicans (again) and they vote in a jobs plan that KILLS 500,000 jobs proving that they are the biggest "do-nothing" Congress in our history and even though the Governor of Wisconsin won the recall election the Dems took control of the Congress in that state.
So why would he say Obama had a HORRIBLE THREE WEEKS? Its all part of the right wing effort to sell the public on the fact that Obama is doing a "horrible job" when he's not and in fact Romney is just a hollow candidate that spins around like a weathervane in the slightest breeze.
Senator Toomey another hilarious Republican! If Congress is slow the President shouldn't act on his own? Ha! Ha! Ha! This country is in dire straits and this Republican Congress has refused to present ANY Jobs bill of their own (which is what they ran on right) and refused to pass any of the MANY jobs bills that have come across their desks! They are they laziest, highest paid government employees we have and they have the NERVE to criticize firemen, cops and teachers! Shame! They should have their pensions cut out completely as well as their healthcare and their salaries should be reduced to that of the lowest paid government employees (until they're all voted out of office in 2012)!
Listening to Artur Davis on Morning Joe; Responding to his switch to the Republican Party. Mr. Davis you did not get the Black Vote for Governor in Alabama as a Democrat; and you will not con the Alabama White vote for Governor on your next try by switching to Republican. You will have a better chance 'switching' States. Good Luck.
Arthur Davis another clown! This nation is made up of citizens that elect representatives to represent THEM! The Republicans refuse to work with the representatives from the other side or in other words representatives from a huge portion of the country. The Republicans no longer believe in representative democracy. They believe in a form of absolute rule. They no longer even follow the rule of law as they have passed legislation in several states without the proper or legal amount of votes. The Republican party are bordering on fascism.
Polsky. Ha! Ha! Ha! A geek with no wartime experience criticizing the POTUS for not having wartime experience. Precious. Whats more hilarious is his comparison to Presidents fighting in WWII. Those were commanders fighting against classic opposing enemies with prototypical armies/navies NOT terrorists. Of course President Obama and Nixon etc., had much more problems with Afganistan and Viet Nam! Only real vets and fighting men know the difference. Thats why geeks without fighting experience should sit down and lower their voices when it comes to matters like these!
I'd like to know know why all the supply siders always blame economic problems (like Greece) on the "lack of work ethic" of the population without ever mentioning the complete failure and ineptitude of the bank executives which is what actually caused the failure of that and every European country as well as in America. If it wasn't for deregulation there wouldn't have been a failure. The chart shown was "sweet" but a pure right wing rationalization. Germany didn't fail economically because they had strict regulations as well as worker participation in the executive levels (boards) of the corporations. It's as simple as that. Again misleading the public has become a right wing sport in American corporate media.
