Anyone betting, hoping & praying the country & jobs gets worse, before Nov. so Obama loses makes these people something but not true Americans. What these people should be betting, hoping & praying for is the country gets better and whomever wins the election just goes on to improving the country more.
The argument was just made on the show that Republicans have no will to more stimulus, and the Democrats have no will to do the long-term cuts.
As a liberal (actually communitarian individualist*), I have heard MANY statements by the President and others that long term cuts must be made to Social Security and Medicare.
To deny that these statements have NOT been made just shows that it just doesn't fit with your "story-line" that both parties are equally at fault.

Ky, REALLY! If you cannot distinguish between what is appropriate on the air and what should be kept to a locker room, he shouldn't be on the air! POOR CHOICE, JOE!
When Joe Scarborough praised Jamie Dimon and said how good he is was disgusting. Congress did the same thingin praising the guy that puts American peoples money in jepordy. These banks charge us twenty five and thirty five percent intrest on credit cards, but we aren't able toget anything on our investments. The money they are playing with is gaurenteed by the FDIC, so they come out ok, but our taxes pay , like before when because of the banks and our sorry Congress that has been bought by the banks mistakes get paid back with our tax dollars.
Elizabeth Warren got it right. The Ed show last night with Michael Eric Dyson last night explained it all.

Mr. Robert Reisch and many other extremely qualified people say over and over what the republicans under the Ryan plan will actually bring more debt not less. He also says that raising taxes and reducing the deficit is necessary not just cut cut cut. Everything must be done together. He is joined by many others who also say that the Ryan plan will decimate education and will hurt the middle class. I also believe he will privitize social security and with the stock market doing ups and downs as it does...scares me to death. He keeps tauting the fact that he, at least produced a plan..well, I hate to burst his bubbe, but just to produce a plan does not make it a good one The CBC and others say his figures do not jive. His recent claims that it is his Catholic background that makes him so committed to his ideas...I say his prior adoration of the Ayn Rand policies is what is influencing him. He has admitted to being an advocate of her ideas in college and believed them long after. He idea is every man for himself and let others worry about their own problems. Helping the poor or the disenfranchized is not in her list of things to put forth and I believe he still follows her beliefs not those of the Catholic religion because they preach...help those who cannot help themselves...something many republicans want to change including Paul Ryan.
Egad, the Harpington made an appearance this am and John Heilemann had to sit next to her. He's certainly entitled to bonus hardship pay. Pruniana did what she does best, she bashed Obama. It's her schtick and that is why she manned "the Democrat Disillusioner Chair" on "Morning Joe" this am. The Queen of the corporate sellout is entirely predictable in her nonstop bashing of America's first black President, and that is why American corporate media loves to parade her around on politichat programs as a "liberal."
