With Joe getting so bent out of shape over President Obama ads, then i know President Obama should keep it up. Joe should scold his Party and tell Romney not to use these ads that he lies in. Go Presidnet Obama. I am sure President Obama is not going to lay down and let the rightwing kick him in the teeth. this is what Joe is wanting him to do. duh !
Joe, How come the Pre?sident can take money out of medicare as he did early in his term and no one calls him on it. What did he spend that money on What would happen if he was working a real job and someone did that to him???????
The president didn't. It would be nice if people like you would make just a small attempt to educate your self.
Where does the $500 billion in future savings come from?
Nearly $220 billion comes from reducing annual increases in payments that health care providers would otherwise receive from Medicare. Other savings include $36 billion from increases in premiums for higher-income beneficiaries and $12 billion from administrative changes. A new national board -- the Independent Payment Advisory Board -- will be tasked to identify $15.5 billion in savings, but the board is prohibited from proposing anything that would ration care or reduce or modify benefits. Then there's another $136 billion in projected savings that would come from changes to the Medicare Advantage program, an alternative to traditional Medicare that has turned out to be much more costly than expected. About 25 percent of Medicare beneficiaries are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan.
How come the President raided medicare to the tune of about 500 K and he doesnt have to account for it and nobody is taking a look at it. Try doing that in the workplace. Maybe its even a crime. As they took it out of my paycheck for many years guaranting it would be there in the end. What's up with that I am watching your show as we speak. Do you have an answer.
President didn't raid Medicare, you are repaying talking points put out by the same people who are wanting to rely gut Medicare. Stop being a fool and get informed, it just takes a Google search.
Read this.

You have portrayed the forced health care in Massachusetts inaccurately. I live in Massachusetts and it is not at all popular or successful. My family health insurance premiums increased by $400.00/month 18 months ago. Since, my employer has changed the plan I am offered to one that is very expensive if anyone gets sick. It still takes longer to get an appointment. The emergency rooms are still packed. Yes, more people may be insured, but the quality of health care for this working taxpayer is a joke.
You aparently are not aware health costs are increasing in all states. Your employer picks your plan and how much he wants to cover.
Bain Capital and other equity firms turn businesses around by cutting pay and benefits and eliminating jobs and calling it "streamlining". That may make a profit for investors, but it leaves someone, employees, behind. Our Nation is not just a business. It is a family or at least a family business. We may not be satisfied with the effort or abilities or performance of some of our brothers and sisters, but families makes sacrifices to make sure that every member has the opportunity to enjoy success.
This is the crux of the debate we are having. Will it be the business approach treating every citizen as a cost to be reduced, or will we be family and find new ways to earn, new ways to learn, new ways to create opportunity, new ways to save, and new ways to hold one another accountable for their part in keeping the family intact.
MSNBC ... comedy in a news format, I love it!
Well, at least Joe's part is...comedy, but hateful. However he does have good guests. Really doubt that he picks em though.
Yesterday when Romney took the press to Solyndra, Romney stated the Inspector general, after investigating the Solyndra deal, found Obama had steered tax money to friends and family. If this was true, it would be huge and you should be covering it, if it was a lie, you should be covering it. It was a bold face lie. You are a phony.
Amazing that individuals who make the big money in the press, some democrats and the republicans are coming to the defense of companies like Bain. Nothing wrong with buying up a company when you think you can turn it around. However, when you fail you should have to pay the price, just like the original investers and the employees who invest in the company stock and invest by working for the company (that's an investment too)! Yet wages are taxed at far higher rates than so-called investment earnings. What about the suppliers and the creditors of the company? And, we call it free enterprise? Yes, it's free when there's no risk such as heads wins, tails wins.
Obviously most political figures and the highly paid members of the press have all profited from the slash and burn techniques of buyng a company running up its debt, banrpting it and then taking a big fat profit. You wanna talk about class warfare? That's only one aspect of it. If people like Bain earn really big bucks no matter what happens, (heads they win, tails they win) where is the risk - where is the free enterprise?
All this may make no difference as the domino effect of the Bush era continues to bring down the world's economy.
